A few years ago I did a fun newborn shoot for this mom. She has a wonderful tradition of making a collage of each of her babies–and she called to keep it going when the third was born (those of you with three children will realize that this is not entirely common).
I loved photographing each of her children, but I was *itching* to do a family shoot. Gorgeous kids, full of smiles and energy, loving parents and I could ppractially see all the gorgeous images.
And it turns out… Well, it was worth the wait.

What to wear? Same rules apply–check out these sample outfit–fabulous details, big buttons, cool seams, texture, fun details, layers, fantastic colors… All of these clothes are for older kids size 2-6.
All of these beautiful, photo-licious outfits are from Tiny Hanger in Coolidge Corner! Put it on your weekend to do list. And if you have a shoot scheduled, don’t forget to contact me for your special offer from Tiny Hanger.
Let me know what you think of all these glorious clothes…
It’s a happy day when I get a call from a family I have photographed before. Like a little reunion! Seeing the kids after a year has passed always reminds me how quickly they change. The inches that are added so slowly you barely notice, faces that grow slightly more angular and mature… Its really subtle, but so clear to me as I look at the photos from year to year. Toddlers grow into children with personalities that were only hinted at before growing more firm. Its just a joy to be invited in–and a privilege to capture these memories
This is an extended family who reunites each year on the North Shore. Five munchkins who delight their grandparents–four active boys and one little girl who clearly holds her own. This year they were so much more independent and grown up. We hung out for some photos and then went to the beach, where they no longer had to be watched with eagle eyes–they raced to grab the boogey boards and hit the waves (then roll in the sand for maximum adult reaction). The smallest ones are still content to play on the beach, but by next year there will be five little fish in the sea, I’d bet on it!
So great to see all of you again! Enjoy!

Like I said two posts back, I am a little behind. So behind that when that post went up, this one was ready…
Inside that gorgeous Mom-to-be was a beautiful baby girl waiting to take hold of their hearts. She came, and she conquered. Grandma had been waiting there for weeks, and she made her mom wait a little extra time too, just to be sure she’d be appreciated.
And even the dogs have been moved by her presence. As soon as she starts to whimper they come running to be sure she is OK and well cared for (of course, she is). And the tiny doggie even moved into the nursery to be close during all the important moments. She’s a mama’s girl too, just like little baby C.
Little, tiny babies are such a miracle. And it is a privilege to be invited to photograph as a family gets to know this new person. Thanks C3, for trusting me in this special time.
