Portraits by Lisa bio picture
  • Welcome to my blog!

  • I am so glad that you stopped by to see all the day to day fun at Portraits by Lisa! Here you can see some of my favorite photos from each shoot and get to know more about me and my style.

    I specialize in portraits of children and families. It is a specialization that really chose me. I gravitate to children. And they seem to like me too. I am absolutely fascinated by infants, toddlers, and children of all ages.

    When I am invited to take your photos I am honored. This means that you are entrusting me with your memories, relying on me to create your heirlooms--and that is my goal, to give you photos that will stand the test of time. Pictures that your baby's children might one day cherish.

    Look at the work below. See my spirited, modern approach to capturing your closest relationships. And if you have any questions, or you want to book a session, drop a line--I'll be in touch quickly!

twins!

In the interest of full disclosure: I love these kids. I enjoy every child I photograph, smile at every baby I see, and try to engage children even on airplanes. So there is the global “I love kids” and then there is the specific matter of these twins, who I love. We first met when...

my kitchen, part 2 {100 frames project}

One thing that you may have noticed in the first round of photos is that I have a love affair with color. I have red, blue, green and orange knives. My plates cover the rainbow. Towels from turquoise to bright red and everything in between. My utensils are every conceivable color. Even my pots are...

my kitchen, part 1 {100 frames project}

Have you ever wondered what it would be like to see the world with another person’s eyes? See what they notice, what never enters their mind, what their first thoughts are in different situations. I think about this all the time. I used to work with a painter who would put the most unlikely colors...
